Bappenas Inaugurates 17 High-Level Officials to Strengthen Development Planning Efforts

JAKARTA – The Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy inaugurated 17 High-Level Officials (Pejabat Pimpinan Tinggi Madya) of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, witnessed by the Deputy Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform and the Deputy Minister of the State Secretariat on Thursday (16/1).
Minister Rachmat Pambudy emphasized the strategic role of these high-level officials in overseeing the implementation of the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) and the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision. Key priorities highlighted include poverty alleviation, improving human resource quality, and accelerating economic growth to 8 percent.
"Indonesia requires meticulous planning to achieve its national goals, as outlined in the preamble to the 1945 Constitution. Therefore, the contributions of high-level officials are critical to ensuring the success of national priority programs, such as the Free Nutritious Meals program, the development of superior schools, and green and blue initiatives supporting environmental sustainability," Minister Rachmat stated.
Minister Rachmat also underscored the importance of synergy between central and regional planning, strengthening accurate and up-to-date data in the planning process, and enhancing cross-sectoral collaboration to address increasingly complex global and national challenges. High-level officials are expected to embody "planner’s behavior," encompassing attitudes, skills, and knowledge needed to prepare Indonesia for 2045 as a visionary and competitive nation on the global stage. President Prabowo Subianto has also mandated that every leader fosters a clean, efficient, and corruption-free government, serving as the foundation for all actions taken by these officials within the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas.
This inauguration marks an organizational restructuring within the Ministry to strengthen its responsiveness to various future challenges, including those that are complex, uncertain, and dynamic. In closing, Minister Rachmat expressed appreciation for the dedication of all Ministry personnel in supporting national development planning. He also encouraged all officials to remain lifelong learners, collaborate effectively, and deliver innovative solutions to advance the nation.
"I hope the excellent performance demonstrated by high-level officials within the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas will continue. By doing so, the achievement of short, medium, and long-term development targets can proceed without interruption," concluded Minister Rachmat.
