President Prabowo Outlines 5 Year Plan at Musrenbangnas RPJMN 2025

Jakarta – The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, outlined the development direction for the next five years during the National Development Planning Meeting for the Implementation of the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), held by the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas on Monday (30/12).

In line with the 2025-2045 National Long-Term Development Plan, the 2025-2029 RPJMN marks the beginning of Indonesia’s journey toward realizing the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. “Our nation requires meticulous planning to achieve the national goals outlined in the preamble to the 1945 Constitution,” President Prabowo stated to the ministers and regional leaders at the Bappenas building in Jakarta.

The national priorities in the 2025-2029 RPJMN are derived from the Asta Cita, the name for the President’s mission. The Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Rachmat Pambudy, emphasized that the upcoming development plan will target three main objectives: reducing poverty, improving human resource quality, and achieving economic growth. “The RPJMN focuses on accelerating poverty reduction, enhancing human resource quality, and achieving high, equitable, and sustainable growth,” Minister Rachmat said.

The primary development goals for the 2025-2029 RPJMN include reducing the poverty rate to 4.5-5 percent by 2029 and eradicating extreme poverty by 2026, increasing the Human Capital Index to 0.59 by 2029, and achieving economic growth of up to eight percent. These targets will be pursued through the implementation of National Strategic Projects, encompassing 17 priority programs of the elected President and Vice President, and 8 Quick Best Outcome Programs. “These programs will drive regional economic growth, thereby supporting sustainable national economic growth,” explained Minister Rachmat Pambudy.

Collaboration and synergy are crucial to achieving the 2025-2029 RPJMN’s objectives, through the alignment of Ministry/Agency Strategic Plans. Regional Medium-Term Development Plans at the provincial, district, and city levels must also align with the RPJMN. “We seek the support of the Coordinating Ministers, the Minister of Home Affairs, all ministers, and heads of agencies to ensure the successful implementation of the priority programs in this RPJMN,” concluded Minister Rachmat.
