JAKARTA – A handover ceremony for the position of Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas took place on Monday (21/10), ceremonially ending the term of previous minister Suharso Monoarfa, and welcoming the new minister Rachmat Pambudy.
In his farewell speech, Suharso Monoarfa emphasized the importance of maintaining the government's vision and national development continuity towards the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision. "I hope today marks a significant milestone for continuity, especially for the Indonesian nation. The government must always prioritize the public's interest to achieve national prosperity. Our people still face many challenges, and PPN/Bappenas should remain the driving force in designing the right solutions," stated former Minister Suharso on Monday (21/10).
He also expressed gratitude for the achievements of PPN/Bappenas, which must be continued by the next generation. "I hope that Prof. Rachmat Pambudy will carry on this mission, ensuring that PPN/Bappenas continues to play its crucial role in realizing national development and advancing towards the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision," added Suharso.
In his inaugural speech, newly inaugurated Minister Rachmat Pambudy expressed his appreciation and highlighted the importance of PPN/Bappenas' role. "I have learned that PPN/Bappenas has an extraordinary and rich history, dating back to the era of Pak Juanda when it was still known as the National Planning Council. Every leader of PPN/Bappenas has made significant contributions to Indonesia's development journey, leaving an indelible mark in the nation's history. PPN/Bappenas is not only a planning institution but also the intellectual powerhouse of Indonesia," said Minister Rachmat.
The handover ceremony concluded with Minister Rachmat's gratitude to all those involved in Indonesia's long-term development planning and his hopes for continued national progress to achieve the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision. "I ask for your prayers and support because this task is a heavy responsibility. However, as promised by Allah S.W.T., we will not be burdened beyond our capacity," concluded Minister Rachmat.
