HLF MSP 2024 Serves as Opportunity for Indonesia to Showcase Leadership in Global Solidarity

Jakarta, 21 August 2024 – The 2024 High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP 2024) serves as a pivotal moment for Indonesia to showcase its global leadership in strengthening solidarity and cross-sectoral collaboration. The forum, held from 1-3 September, 2024 in Bali, not only continues Indonesia's successful leadership of international forums but also manifests Indonesia's commitment to sustainable and inclusive development.

This was emphasized by Hendra Wahanu Prabandani, Director of Foreign Policy and International Development Cooperation at the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, in Jakarta on Wednesday, 21 August, 2024.

“The previous G20 Presidency resulted in the Roadmap for Stronger Recovery and Resilience in Developing Countries. The 2024 HLF MSP continues the momentum of what the Indonesian government has built so far,” said Hendra.

The 2024 HLF MSP will be a concrete demonstration of how Indonesia can mobilize multi-stakeholder partnerships, ranging from government, civil society organizations, and the private sector to academia. This forum is expected to serve as a catalyst for innovative solutions to global challenges and to strengthen Indonesia's role as a leader in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Run under the theme "Strengthening Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships: Towards a Transformative Change," the 2024 HLF MSP is expected to bring together around 1,000 participants from various countries and international organizations to collectively discuss pressing global issues, including efforts to narrow the development gap between the Global South and North.

“We want to emphasize the importance of stakeholder collaboration to strengthen collective action, ensuring inclusive collaboration and cooperation, and finding innovative solutions to resolve global issues, which we know are becoming increasingly complex,” said Hendra.
