President Prabowo Commends Indonesia Pavilion at Osaka Expo, Records USD 23.8 Billion in Investments

Osaka, Kansai, Japan, 20 September, 2025 – The President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto made his inaugural visit to the Indonesia Pavilion at World Expo 2025 Osaka on Saturday, 20 September.
The President’s visit aims to further showcase Indonesia’s commitment towards expanding the country’s global contributions in innovation and sustainability. On this occasion, President Prabowo was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and was welcomed by the Minister for National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy.
“President Prabowo’s presence reaffirms that our development direction aligns with his Asta Cita vision for the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. The Pavilion is not just an exhibition; it also strengthens investment networks, particularly in the green industry sector,” said Minister Rachmat.
Since its opening on 13 April 2025, the Indonesia Pavilion has welcomed more than 2.8 million visitors and recorded investment commitments amounting to USD 23.8 billion. This achievement has also been supported by more than 100 art performances, 90 product exhibitions, and 60 Business Forums and One-on-One Meetings.
President Prabowo welcomed the Pavilion’s progress, which is expected to generate significant impacts on investment, trade, and tourism.
“The enthusiasm of visitors, particularly Japanese citizens, is tremendous. The President fully supports Indonesia’s participation in Expo 2030 Riyadh,” explained Vivi Yulaswati, Bappenas’ Deputy for Economy and Digital Transformation, Vivi Yulaswati, who was also present during the visit.
With these achievements, the Indonesia Pavilion will continue to present flagship programs until the Expo closes on 13 October, 2025. The diversity of art, culture, and innovation on display is expected to strengthen Indonesia’s image as a competitive nation, ready to make greater contributions on the global stage.
The Pavilion is the result of close collaboration with numerous strategic partners, including Astra, Artha Graha Peduli, KAPPI, Pertamina, Barito Pacific Group, Royal Golden Eagle (RGE), Indofood, Japfa, BPDP, Garuda Indonesia, Telkomsel, as well as various ministries, institutions, regional governments, and other relevant agencies.
