Bappenas Appoints Institutional Relations Expert to Strengthen Collaboration Between Agencies

The Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Suharso Monoarfa, inaugurated senior officials within the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas on Thursday, 15 August. This inauguration and oath-taking ceremony are part of the ministry's efforts to strengthen the organization in facing future development challenges. “Today, we proudly appoint Mr. Kurniawan Ariadi as the Expert Staff for Institutional Relations at the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas. Congratulations to Mr. Kurniawan Ariadi, who was selected through an open selection process and is trusted to carry out the responsibilities of this position. We hope Mr. Kurniawan will perform his duties with professionalism, dedication, and a high level of commitment, and serve as a role model within the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas,” stated Minister Suharso.

Minister Suharso also emphasized the importance of finalizing the 2025-2045 National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) as a guiding vision for all stakeholders, especially during the ongoing government transition and as the Indonesia Maju Cabinet approaches its conclusion. The preparation of the 2025-2029 Medium-Term Development Plan must also align with the vision and mission of the elected president and vice president. “We would like to remind Mr. Kurniawan that his role as Expert Staff will be crucial in strengthening relations between the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas and all other government agencies. We hope Mr. Kurniawan can help facilitate better collaboration and prioritize common interests over sectoral interests,” explained Minister Suharso.

In concluding his remarks, Minister Suharso shared a meaningful story in anticipation of the upcoming 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The story depicted a group of people reflecting on their struggles and sacrifices after a war. A young man asked them if they fought for him. This question serves as a reminder that our struggles should not become mere stories without substance. Minister Suharso expressed his hope that everyone in the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas would strive to make every effort meaningful and beneficial.
