Bappenas & Home Ministry Holds Joint Training Session to Ensure Synergy of RPJPN & RPJPD

DEPOK -  The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs, conducted a ‘Training of Trainers on the Alignment Assistance of Provincial RPJPD with the 2025-2045 National Long Term Development Plan (RPJPN)’ session on Tuesday (16/1) to leverage the momentum of piecing together the Regional Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPD). 

Attended by representatives from 36 Provincial Regional Development Planning Agencies (Bappeda), involving a total of 135 participants, the event aimed to enhance the capacity and quality of formulating the basis of the Provincial RPJPD, in line with the directions and targets of RPJPN 2025–2045. 

The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas’ Chief Secretary Teni Widuriyanti, emphasized the importance of alignment between central and regional development plans. 

"The synchronization of development planning is to create harmony, integration, and synergy in the implementation of collaborative-oriented development. Alignment through joint mentoring is the first integrated step to ensure the coherence of documents, which should be followed by development plans to achieve positive results and impacts for the community," explained Teni.

The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas and the Ministry of Home Affairs are responsible for disseminating, internalizing, and ensuring the implementation of RPJPN in regions, in line with the Joint Circular Letter (SEB) from the Minister of National Development Planning/Bappenas and the Minister of Home Affairs regarding the Alignment of the RPJPD with the RPJPN for the 2025-2045 period (signed on January 10, 2024), and the Ministry of Home Affairs Instruction Number 1 of 2024 on Guidelines for the Formulation of RPJPD. 

"This SEB is a joint step to align the content of RPJPD with RPJPN to create coherence and orchestration of the national development direction," said the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas’ Deputy of Economic Affairs Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti. Furthermore, Acting Deputy for Regional Development at the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Tri Dewi Virgiyanti also emphasized the importance of aligning the contents of the RPJPD with the 2025-2045 RPJPN as a starting point for orchestrating the potential of regions in the context of national socio-economic transformation.

Collaboration and discussions in this event were facilitated by senior planning experts from the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas and the Ministry of Home Affairs. 

Teni explained that this important forum will continue. A special team will be formed after the training to act as the main driver in synchronizing the Provincial RPJPD with RPJPN. 

"After this, there will be mentoring. The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, together with the Ministry of Home Affairs, will ensure that all participants from each province continue to receive continuous guidance as a concrete step to understand the framework of various transformation agendas that are the main objectives of the formulation of the 2025-2045 RPJPN," stated Teni.

The synergy between the central and regional governments is a crucial foundation for realizing the Sovereign, Advanced, and Sustainable Archipelagic State as outlined in 2025-2045 RPJPN and the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision. The Director-General for Regional Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Restuardy Daud emphasized that the synchronization of the 2025-2045 RPJPN with RPJPD is an integral part of national development planning. 

"In its implementation, regions utilize local wisdom, potential, innovation, competitiveness, and regional creativity to achieve development goals at the local level, ultimately supporting the achievement of national goals," concluded Restuardy.
