JAKARTA - The Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa emphasized the importance of the Socio-Economic Registration Data System (Regsosek) as a strategic step towards achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision, in line with President Joko Widodo’s direction.
"The President has instructed that in supporting the implementation of social protection system reforms, the government is expected to improve the recipient database through the development of Regsosek and accelerate the eradication of extreme poverty. Additionally, this year we will conclude the 2005-2025 Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) and soon enter a new development planning period for 2025-2045, thus the Regsosek data will complement the development targets and goals capable of bringing prosperity to Indonesian society towards achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision," expressed Minister Suharso during the launch of the Regsosek System at the "Collaboration Utilization of Socio-Economic Registration Data System" event on Thursday (20/6).
The Regsosek’s “One Data System” emphasizes the importance of integrating socio-economic data based on National Identification Numbers (NIK) to strengthen evidence-based planning and budgeting, improve budget efficiency, and ensure target accuracy. Moving forward, the data within the Regsosek can be utilized by ministries/agencies, and even down to the regional level. The data can also be accessed by academics and civil society organizations to support studies and other activities in line with government programs, while respecting the principles of personal data protection.
Collaboration and commitment from various parties are necessary to ensure that Regsosek data remains current and valid. Minister Suharso emphasized that collaborative and periodic integration and updating of data between ministries/agencies/regions are crucial to produce accurate data as the basis for development planning.
"Accurate, comprehensive, and ranked socio-economic data forms a strong foundation in development program planning. This aligns with Article 31 of Law No. 25/2004, where development planning must be based on accurate and accountable data and information," stated Minister Suharso.
Minister Suharso hoped that this event would enhance collaboration and commitment between Central and Regional authorities to support the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision.
"Today's event is expected to further increase joint commitment in achieving accurate and interconnected population data. Strong, accurate, up-to-date, and integrated data are key to development in achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision, of being a Sovereign, Advanced, and Sustainable Archipelagic State," concluded the Minister.
