The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas organized the Commitment Towards Strengthening Anti-Corruption and Whistle Blowing System (WBS) Version 2.0 to commemorate International Anti-Corruption Day (HAKORDIA).
Under the theme “Building Clean and Accountable Governance: Fraud Prevention to Support National Development Planning and Control,” the event underscored the importance of building integrity and accountability in development. Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Rachmat Pambudy, highlighted the need for governance reform to combat corruption.
"Economic leakage remains high due to weak governance, suboptimal state revenue collection, and inefficient budget use. Indonesia's tax ratio is still low, around 10 percent. On the expenditure side, financial leakages are estimated to account for 30 percent of the state budget (APBN). One of the main sources of these leakages is corruption, which involves businesses, bureaucracies, the legislature, and even law enforcement," explained Minister Rachmat Pambudy on Friday (12/13).
Minister Rachmat Pambudy also emphasized that eradicating corruption is a priority for President Prabowo Subianto's administration as part of the Seventh Asta Cita initiative. The government is committed to preventing corruption by promoting investment efficiency, strengthening state revenue, and ensuring accountable resource management to support sustainable development.
The Ministry’s Inspector General, Trisacti Wahyuni, noted that Bappenas has achieved integrity recognition in the Integrity Assessment Survey conducted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). “The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas continues to strengthen its anti-corruption commitment through innovations such as WBS Version 2.0, which supports reporting transparency with advanced complaint tracking features and a more sophisticated digital dashboard,” stated Trisacti.
Minister Rachmat expressed his hope that ministries and institutions would continue collaborating to strengthen good governance and collectively address Indonesia’s significant challenges in preventing corruption, aiming for transparent and equitable development.
"President Prabowo has mandated the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, as the orchestrator of national development planning, to ensure that programs and activities across ministries, agencies, and regions contribute significantly, measurably, and synergistically to preventing corruption at every stage of development," concluded the Minister.
